  1. VERIFICATION OF AGE

Thorrington Mill Vineyard does not sell alcohol to persons under the age of 18. By using this site you confirm that you are over the age of 18.  By purchasing wine from Thorrington Mill Vineyard you are confirming that the person receiving the shipment of wine is over the age of 18.

  1. RESPONSIBLE DRINKING

Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. Alcohol consumption may cause health problems.  Women should not drink alcoholic beverages during pregnancy because of the risk of birth defects.

  1. ONLINE PURCHASES

3.1 QUALITY COMMITMENT

If you have bought a case or more of a particular wine and do not like the wine, for any reason, then we will refund all of that wine, including delivery, as soon as you have returned the rest of the wine to us, provided, of course, you have only opened ONE bottle of the wine.

3.2 PRICES & PAYMENT

All prices are quoted in pounds sterling. The prices include Value Added Tax, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional and will be added to your bill before you confirm your order.

3.3 DELIVERY

The cost of delivery quoted includes delivery by courier to GB Mainland addresses (excluding Scottish Highlands).  For other destinations a surcharge will apply.  Standard delivery charges are a flat rate of £10 for any size order.

All wines or goods ordered remain the property of Thorrington Mill Vineyard until payment is received in full.

3.4 TAX CHARGES

The prices shown on our website are all inclusive of VAT.

3.5 BREAKAGES

We have a no quibble policy towards breakages.  Please check your order upon delivery and let us know within 24 hours by email of any breakages.  We will happily replace any broken bottles or refund you the cost of the damaged bottle.

3.6 ORDER REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

You have the right to cancel your order within fourteen days of receipt of the goods.  If you do cancel your order, you will have your payment returned and should arrange for the goods to be sent back to us at your own cost.

We ask that customers make cancellations to tour or lunch bookings within 28 days of the booking date to allow us time to re-advertise the slot to others.

All refunds will be settled within 30 days of the request.

  1. TOUR BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY

Tour and lunch bookings are non-refundable. Bookings are transferable up to 10 days before the date of your visit. Within 10 days of your visit, bookings are non-transferable, although you can reassign your booking to another person if you are unable to attend.

4.1 TOUR GIFT VOUCHERS

Vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable, and have a years expiry date so can be used for 12 months into the future. Voucher codes must, wherever possible, be redeemed at the checkout on our website.

4.2 EVENT TICKETS

Tickets are not refundable under any circumstances other than cancellation of the event or unless the event is moved to another date which prohibits you from attending.

The Rules and Regulations of the venue, event organiser or promoter for which this ticket was purchased must be adhered to.

Although we will do our best to keep you informed of any cancellation, it is the ticket holders’ responsibility to establish whether an event has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged event.

You are advised to check if the venue has a last entry time. Even ticket holders may not be admitted after this time.

There is no obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets if management alters or varies the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control.

There is no obligation to refund monies or exchange tickets should an event organiser subsequently offer any discount or promotion that makes tickets available at a price lower than that previously paid by any customer.

Should you have a complaint about an event that has taken place, we will take this up with the event organiser provided you have contacted us within 48 hours of the event taking place. We cannot guarantee any outcome.

Tickets are not transferable. 

The event organiser accepts no responsibility for any personal property.

Ticket holders consent to filming, sound recording and photography as members of the audience and for these to be used as part of our marketing campaigns on social media and online platforms.

Where stated there is a bar credit included within the ticket price, this is to be redeemed in full against your first purchase at the bar, any unused allowance can not be carried over. Please give your booking name to redeem the credit.

A £1 donation to Thorrington Tide Mill Trust is included in the ticket price. 

The ticket can not be exchanged for cash.

The ticket is only valid for the event for which it was purchased and not at any other events held by Thorrington Mill Vineyard or their partners. 

All of these terms and conditions are governed by English law.

Thorrington Mill Vineyard reserves the right to modify our terms and conditions without notice to you. If you continue to use this website after any changes, this constitutes your agreement to any such changes.

All content, including graphics, logos, text, images and other features on this website, and their associated copyrights and trademarks and other intellectual property are owned by Thorrington Mill Vineyard.

  1. PRIVACY NOTICE

We only collect contact details from our customers in order to process payments, fulfil orders, and send email communications.

We will never pass on data we possess to a third party, unless it is necessary to do so to fulfil your order (e.g. courier companies for delivery purposes). Any email communications will only be sent if you have given prior consent to allow us to do so and we will keep a record of how and when this consent was given.

You have the right to ask us at any time for a summary of the personal data we hold for you. You can request that we delete any of your personal data at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of our email communications.

We promise to comply with any requests relating to your personal data within one month of receiving your request.

We do not store customer’s credit card details, however receipts relating to online purchases and credit card sales will be kept for up to 6 years in to comply with business tax reporting requirements.

Personal contact data (email addresses) provided for the purpose of receiving email communications, will be kept until such time as you request to be removed from the mailing list, at which point we shall delete all records of your details.

You have a right to complain to the ICO if you are unhappy with the way we handle your data.

In the event of a data breech, if your data has been affected, we promise to inform you within 72 hours, before informing the authorities.

All data is collected lawfully and maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018.
